The Duet sculpture series originated from Steven M. Goldberg’s fascination with the cube, a perfect architectural and geometric form. Steven Goldberg is a retired architect, having worked from 1966–2016 as a staff architect, Associate, and Partner at Mitchell/Giurgola Architects, New York City. It was there that he designed and led numerous award-winning projects, nationally and abroad and collaborated on art programs on many of these projects with notable artists Martin Puryear, Agnes Denes, Sol Lewitt, and Ned Smyth. He has lived and worked from his home in Sharon, CT, for over three decades. He is an accomplished architectural draftsman and is currently expanding his horizons as a sculptor.
