Ghosts on the Green – FULL
September 18, 2021 @ 10:00 am
Discover Sharon ghost stories and create your own. Ghosts on the Green is a weekend story-telling program for students grades 5 to 8. Join us for this workshop of storytelling, writing and acting. We will meet on a succession of four Saturdays from 10am to 1pm. The first three Saturdays, we will play theatre games, explore materials from the Sharon Historical Society & Museum (SHSM) archives to learn about historical people and events, create ghost stories, and tell ghost stories. On the last Saturday of the program, we will share your new ghost stories with your family and friends on Sharon Green.
Teachers are: Sarah Combs, Theatre Teacher, Vice President of the Sharon Playhouse; Myra Plescia, Retired Teacher, Project Coordinator for Family Programs at SHSM; Carol Seaman, University Researcher and Research Volunteer for SHSM; and Marel Rogers, Retired Teacher, Lead Volunteer for Collections and Community Programs at SHSM.
Note that we follow current COVID-19 guidelines. Masks are required for indoor activities. Weather permitting, we will work outdoors on the Sharon Historical Society & Museum patio. Parents and guardians will be provided with our health protocol and form.
